Test we offer:

AMH - Check your level of anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) to get an idea of your egg count (ovarian reserve) to support decisions such as IVF or egg freezing. The turn around time for this test is around 4 days.

Amylase - This measures the level of amylase in the blood and is used to help diagnose and monitor pancreatitis, pancreatic duct obstruction, or other pancreatic disorders that can include pancreatic cancer. The turn around time for this test is roughly 4 days.

CA 125 - Can be an indicator of Ovarian Cancer but is not diagnostic and does not rule it out. Elevated levels of CA 125 can indicate the presence of ovarian cancer, but it is important to note that other non-cancerous conditions, such as endometriosis and uterine fibroids, can also lead to increased CA 125 levels. A raised CA 125 does not necessarily mean that you have ovarian cancer, but it should definitely prompt further investigation to rule this out. Like all tests, CA 125 is not perfect. Whilst a negative result is reassuring, you should still see your doctor if you have symptoms of abdominal bloating, pelvic pain or discomfort, unexplained weight loss, changes in your urine or bowel habits, or unexpected vaginal bleeding after the menopause. The turn around time for this test is roughly 6 days.

Cortisol - this test is best taken before 10am and popped into the post the same day the sample is taken. Take this test to monitor the level of Cortisol in your blood - which is a hormone that helps your body respond to stress (it is sometimes called the "stress hormone"). the turn around time for this test is roughly 2- 3 days.

CRP - Take this test to measure the level of C-Reactive protein in your blood which is produced by the liver in response to inflammation. Inflammation is a natural response of the immune system to infections, injuries, and certain diseases. However, chronic or prolonged inflammation is linked to various health conditions, including cardiovascular diseases (such as heart disease and stroke), autoimmune disorders, and some cancers.

Ferritin - A blood test to measure your levels of ferritin, a blood protein responsible for storing iron in the body. An ideal test if you are experiencing symptoms such as lack of energy. The turn around time is roughly 2-3 days.

FSH - a marker for menopause. Two raised readings six weeks apart can help to confirm menopause. The turn around time for this test is 2-3 days.

Folate - This test measures the total level of folic acid (Vitamin B9) in your blood. Folate (B9) breaks down homocysteine in order to create other chemicals your body needs. The turn around time is roughly 2-3 days.

H.Pylori - Test for antibodies to Helicobacter pylori, indicating a recent or past infection. H. Pylori is a bacteria that can live in the lining of your stomach that can be responsible for causing stomach ulcers and in rare cases, gastric cancer. The turn around time for this test is roughly 11 days.

Hba1C - a marker of average blood sugars over around 6 weeks. It’s an indicator for diabetes.

HCG - HCG is a hormone produced by the placenta during pregnancy. Take an HCG blood test to confirm and monitor the progress of your pregnancy. The turn around time is roughly 2-3 days.

LH - A test to monitor luteinizing hormone levels that are needed to support pregnancy. In both males and females, LH plays a crucial role in regulating reproductive functions. The turn around time is roughly 2-3 days.

Progesterone - Progesterone is an important female sex hormone and one of its key roles is to prepare the lining of the womb to receive a fertilised egg. Levels of progesterone rise and fall throughout the menstrual cycle. In a standard 28 day cycle, ovulation occurs on day 14 (where day 1 is the first day of your period). Following this, levels of progesterone rise, reaching a peak at day 21 (a level above 30nmol/L indicates that ovulation has occurred). Turn around time is roughly 2-3 days. If your cycle is a different length, then you should take the test 7 days before you expect your next period to begin e.g. if you have a 35 day cycle you should take the test on day 28. The turn around time is roughly 2-3 days

Prolactin - Prolactin is a hormone secreted by the anterior pituitary gland, which plays a crucial role in reproductive and metabolic functions. In females, it stimulates breast milk production and regulates the menstrual cycle. Prolactin also affects male reproductive health by influencing testosterone production and sperm count. Besides its reproductive functions, prolactin is involved in regulating metabolism, immune response, and behaviour and can occasional be indicative of a pituitary (brain) tumour. The turn around time is roughly 2-3 days

Rheumatoid Factor - A test to detect the presence of antibodies produced by the immune system that can attack healthy tissues, commonly associated with rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune disorders. The turn around time is roughly 2-3 days.

Testosterone - The measure of testosterone can help diagnose conditions such as hypogonadism, infertility, and certain types of hormonal imbalances. The turnaround time is roughly 2-3 days.

Uric Acid - A uric acid blood test can help diagnose conditions such as gout, kidney stones, or certain types of kidney disease. the turnaround time is roughly 2-3 days.

Vitamin D - Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin essential for maintaining bone health, regulating calcium and phosphorus levels in the body, and supporting immune function. The turn around time is roughly 4 days.

If you are worried about your health symptoms it is wise to book to see a health professional for a full assessment.
